The following are excerpts from the Bourne Police Logs dated Friday, June 19 through Monday, June 22.
Friday, June 19
Police stopped a driver on the southbound side of MacArthur Boulevard at 8:45 PM. The driver was in a gray 2003 Honda Accord, and an officer had seen the car drift over the white fog line several times, police said. The car was stopped and the driver identified as Xavier Pastrana-DeJesus, 26, from New Bedford. An open bottle of beer was observed on the floor of the passenger side of the car, police said. Mr. Pastrana-DeJesus was issued a citation for marked lanes violation and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, police said.

At 9:16 PM, police responded to a two-car crash on Scenic Highway. The crash occurred at the intersection of the highway and Nightingale Pond Road. The driver of a white 1996 Ford F350 truck was in the left lane, headed towards Sagamore. The driver, identified as Andrew Rivera, 48, from East Hartford, Connecticut, abruptly changed lanes to take a right turn into Bourne Scenic Park. Mr. Rivera collided with a black 2013 Volkswagen Passat that was in the right lane, police said. Police said that Mr. Rivera did not have a valid driver’s license. He was issued citations for driving without a valid driver’s license, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and failure to use care in turning, police said.
Saturday, June 20
At 2:06 PM, police were called to a two-car crash at the intersection of Scenic Highway and Nightingale Pond Road. Police said the driver of a yellow 2013 Toyota Corolla rear-ended a black 2019 Chevrolet Traverse at the stoplights by the entrance to Bourne Scenic Park. The driver of the Corolla was identified as Ajay Modgil, 40, from Wareham. Mr. Modgil was cited for driving with a suspended driver’s license, police said.

Police responded to a two-car crash on the southbound side of MacArthur Boulevard at 6:52 PM. Police said the driver of a gray 2018 Audi moved from the passing lane into the travel lane and collided with a red 2012 Nissan Pathfinder. The driver of the Audi was identified as Lori Chaves, 38, from Taunton. No one was hurt in the crash. Ms. Chaves was cited for unsafe lane change and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, police said.

Police made an arrest on Jillian Drive in South Sagamore at 8:58 PM. Police said that officers responded to a call of an erratic driver. The caller reported hearing a loud noise and seeing a puff of smoke, police said. Officers spoke with a witness who reported seeing a gray 2018 Dodge Charger being driven erratically. Officers found tire marks in the road, and located the vehicle at 1 Jillian Drive. The owner came out of the house, and initially denied driving the vehicle, police said. The driver was identified as Michael D. Leonard, 42, from East Sandwich. Another witness claimed Mr. Leonard nearly crashed into his mailbox. Police said that Mr. Leonard appeared intoxicated, and the keys to the car were in his pants pocket. He was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor and negligent operation of a motor vehicle, police said.
Sunday, June 21
At 12:21 AM, police went to a single-car crash on Mashnee Road. Police said the driver of a black 2013 Nissan Rogue lost control and hit a tree head on. The driver was identified as Jaimerita Solari, 39, from Brockton. Ms. Solari had an odor of alcohol on her breath, police said, and was slurring her words when speaking with officers at the scene. Police said she admitted to having a few cocktails before driving. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police said. She will be summonsed for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, and driving an unregistered motor vehicle, police said.
Monday, June 22
A two-car crash happened at the Bourne Bridge rotary at 1:30 PM. Police said the driver of a gray 2018 Honda CRV was entering the rotary from Sandwich Road and collided with a black 2003 Honda Civic that was already in the rotary. The driver of the CRV was identified as Donald Krantz, 71, from Middlebury, Connecticut. The Civic had to be towed from the scene, and Mr. Krantz was cited for failure to yield the right of way, police said.
