The following are excerpts from the Bourne Police Logs dated Wednesday November 10, through Tuesday November 16.

Wednesday, November 10

An arrest was made on Siasconset Drive in Sagamore Beach at 9:07 AM. Officers on patrol were aware of active warrants out of Plymouth and Wareham district courts for Christopher M. Attaya, 42. The warrants charged Mr. Attaya of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Officers encountered Mr. Attaya in the driveway of his home and advised him of the warrants. He was arrested on the warrant charges and later taken to Wareham District Court for arraignment.

At 10:12 PM, police made an arrest on Scenic Highway. An officer on patrol was following a gray 2005 Chevrolet Silverado going in the direction of Sagamore. The officer conducted a random query of the vehicle with the Registry of Motor Vehicles, which indicated that the vehicle was uninspected. The vehicle was stopped and the driver identified as Darren A. Brennan, 26, from Hyannis. Another check with the RMV indicated that Mr. Brennan driver’s license was canceled and that he had a lengthy history of traffic offenses. RMV records also showed Mr. Brennan had an active warrant out of New Bedford District Court charging him with larceny under $1,200. He was arrested, and during a search of Mr. Brennan’s person, police uncovered several Suboxone film strips. Mr. Brennan claimed to have a prescription for the Suboxone but it was not with him. He was arrested on the warrant charge and also charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, possession of a Class B drug and no inspection/sticker. He was later released on personal recognizance.

Friday, November 12

Police responded at 9:43 PM to a two-car crash on Clay Pond Road. The driver of a brown 2011 Lexus collided with a black 2007 Jeep Compass that was exiting a driveway onto Clay Pond Road. No one was hurt, and neither vehicle had to be towed from the scene. The driver of the Lexus, identified as Edmund Coye, 83, from Buzzards Bay, was issued a citation for failing to yield.

Saturday, November 13

At 9:18 AM, police were called to a two-car crash at the Bourne Bridge Rotary. The driver of a black 2017 Nissan Rogue attempted to exit the rotary and head south on MacArthur Boulevard. The driver of the Nissan, identified as Barbara Riley, 75, from Norwood, collided with a utility trailer attached to a white 2017 Volkswagen Golf that was going around the rotary toward Sandwich Road. No one was hurt, and Ms. Riley’s vehicle had to be towed from the scene. Police cited her for failing to yield.

Officers responded at a two-car crash at the Otis Rotary at 11:43 AM. There were two vehicles in the rotary, both on the southbound side. The driver of a gray 2010 Nissan Murano kept going around the rotary and collided with a black 2015 Ford Explorer that was exiting the rotary to go south on Route 28. No one was hurt in the crash. The driver of the Nissan was identified as Donna Rowe, 64, from Fall River. Police cited Ms. Rowe for failure to use care in turning.

Tuesday, November 16

At 2:36 AM, police responded to a single-car crash at the East Rotary in Buzzards Bay. The driver of a white 2021 Toyota Corolla crashed after the driver, identified as Anthony Constantine, 75, from Falmouth, fell asleep at the wheel. Mr. Constantine was not hurt in the crash, but his car was towed from the scene. Police cited him for failure to stay in marked lanes.
