The following are excerpts from the Bourne Police Department logs dated Friday, June 7, through Wednesday, June 12.

Friday, June 7, 2019

Police made an arrest at the Market Basket in Sagamore Beach at 1:43 PM. Police said that officers were called to the store on reports that a man tried to leave the store without paying for a cartload of groceries. Police said the cart was filled with 90 items, totaling $1,220.99. When officers arrived, the suspect, Mark T. Andrews, 55, was already in the manager’s office. Mr. Andrews was arrested and charged with larceny over $1,200. Police said Mr. Andrews also had a warrant out of Barnstable District Court charging him with shoplifting by concealing merchandise, third offense. Bail was set at $500 and went unpaid. He was sent to the Barnstable County Correctional Facility to await arraignment the following Monday.

An arrest was made at 8:37 PM on Waterhouse Road. Police said officers were alerted to an erratic driver who recently left the 7-Eleven store parking lot on Clay Pond Road. The officers were subsequently dispatched to a single-car crash on Waterhouse Road involving a car that matched the description of the one driven by the erratic driver, police said. The car, a gray 1998 Toyota Camry, crashed into a boulder. When officers arrived, they found the driver, identified as Michael T. Coulombe, 58, from Bourne, inside the vehicle. Officers said they detected a strong aroma of alcohol, and also said that Mr. Coulombe failed a field sobriety test. He was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, second offense; negligent operation of a motor vehicle; and marked lanes violation. He was later released on personal recognizance, police said.

At 3:58 AM, police made an arrest on Head of the Bay Road in Buzzards Bay. Police said that officers were sent to the Mobil Gas Station at the East Rotary on reports of a truck in the parking lot. The truck’s horn was blaring continuously, police said. When officers arrived, they found the truck running with its parking lights on. The driver, identified as Jake D. Menton, 28, from Kingston, was behind the wheel of the truck. Officers said they observed signs of intoxication and administered a field sobriety test, which Mr. Menton failed. He was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor. He was later released on personal recognizance, police said.

A four-vehicle crash happened on the Bourne Bridge at 11:08 AM. Police said that a gray 2015 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was going over the bridge onto the Cape in congested traffic. The rider, identified as Arnold Tillman, 73, from Port Orange, Florida, failed to stop in time for traffic ahead of him. Mr. Tillman swerved to avoid black 2015 Chevrolet Silverado towing a horse trailer in front of him, clipped the rear of the trailer, and crashed into the rear of a brown 2010 Toyota Prius. Mr. Tillman and a passenger on the motorcycle were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. He was cited for following too closely, police said.

At 11:01 PM, an arrest was made at the East Rotary in Buzzards Bay. Police said an officer on Scenic Highway headed toward the rotary conducted a random query with the state Registry of Motor Vehicles on a gray 2006 Chrysler sedan. The RMV indicated that the car was uninspected. The car was stopped by the officer and the driver identified as Ryan B. Dauphinais, 22, from Marstons Mills. The RMV also indicated that Mr. Dauphinais’s driver’s license was under suspension, police said. He was arrested and charged with no inspection sticker, and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. He was later released on personal recognizance, police said.

Police made an arrest at 10:54 PM on Scenic Highway. Police said that an officer conducting traffic enforcement on the highway saw a gray 1998 Lexus going 40 miles per hour in a 50-mph zone, traveling in the passing lane. There was no other traffic in the vicinity, police said. The car was stopped and the driver identified as Jerron L. Oliver, 43, from Dorchester. A check with the RMV showed that Mr. Oliver’s driver’s license was revoked. He was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license, subsequent offense. He was later released on personal recognizance, police said.

Monday, June 10, 2019

An arrest was made on Puritan Road in Buzzards Bay at 1:42 AM. Police said an officer on patrol saw a gray 2004 Chevrolet Impala cross over the solid middle line in the road twice, and then over the white fog line. The car was stopped and the driver identified as Paul M. Zine, 32, from West Wareham. Police said the officer conducted roadside assessments and Mr. Zine showed signs of drug impairment. He was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs, marked lanes violation, unregistered motor vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle with a revoked driver’s license. Bail was set at $250 and went unpaid, police said. Mr. Zine was taken to Falmouth District Court later that morning for arraignment, police said.

At 8:04 PM, police made an arrest on MacArthur Boulevard. Police said an officer on patrol saw a white 2008 Ford F350 pickup truck going north toward the Bourne Bridge. The vehicle drifted over the white fog line, then abruptly corrected itself, police said. The truck was stopped and the driver identified as James D. Dobson, 50, from Dennisport. A check with the RMV determined that Mr. Dobson’s driver’s license was suspended. He was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense, and marked lanes violation. He was later released on personal recognizance, police said.

Wednesday, June 12, 2019

A two-vehicle crash happened at 4:42 PM at the East Rotary in Buzzards Bay. Police said the driver of a white 2016 Chevrolet Silverado pickup changed lanes inside the rotary and clipped the front end of a gray 2011 Nissan Rogue. The driver of the Silverado was identified as Robert Roderiques, 34, from Fairhaven. Mr. Roderiques was cited for marked lanes violation. The driver of the Nissan was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries, police said.

An arrest was made on State Road in Sagamore Beach at 7:17 PM. Police said an officer conducting traffic enforcement saw a black 2011 Toyota Corolla headed north. A random query with the RMV indicated that the Toyota was uninspected. The car was stopped and the driver identified as Justin M. O’Brien, 30, from Weymouth. The officer also determined that Mr. O’Brien’s license was suspended, police said. He was arrested and, during an inventory of his car, police found a prescription bottle with a single Gabapentin pill inside. Mr. O’Brien did not have a prescription for the medication, police said. He was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense; no inspection sticker; and possession of a Class E drug. He was later released on personal recognizance, police said.
