The following are excerpts from the Bourne Police Department logs dated Saturday, February 11, through Tuesday, February 14.
Saturday, February 11
At 1:35 AM, a motor vehicle stop on Sandwich Road led to several citations being issued. Police said the driver of a gray 2018 Nissan Altima was traveling east, headed toward Sandwich. The driver was clocked going 74 in a 45-miles-per-hour zone, police said. The car was stopped, and a check with the Registry of Motor Vehicles indicated that the vehicle registration was revoked for lack of insurance. The driver was cited for operating a motor vehicle after registration revoked, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and speeding. The driver’s name was not released because no arraignment has been held yet.
Sunday, February 12
A motor vehicle stop on Scenic Highway at 8:41 AM resulted in a citation being issued for speeding. Police said the driver of a gray 2008 Nissan Altima was clocked at going 76 in a 50-mph zone. The driver’s name was not released pending arraignment, police said.

At 1:21 PM, citations were issued to a driver caught speeding on Scenic Highway in Buzzards Bay. Police said an officer on patrol clocked the driver of a black 2007 Volkswagen Jetta at 97 in a 50-mph zone. The driver was traveling in the direction of Buzzards Bay. The car was stopped at the intersection of Scenic Highway and Nightingale Pond Road. Citations were issued for reckless operation of a motor vehicle and speeding. Police did not reveal the driver’s name because no arraignment has been held yet.

At 8:48 PM, police responded to a call from a homeowner on Barlows Landing Road. Police said the driver of a white 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer had made an abrupt U-turn in the homeowner’s driveway. Officers on patrol located the vehicle going north on County Road. The officers witnessed the driver weaving slightly, so a stop was made. The driver was put through field sobriety tests and passed, police said. However, the driver was issued citations for marked lanes violation and a defective brake light, police said. The driver’s identity was not released pending arraignment, police said.
Monday, February 13
At 2:03 PM, police issued a citation to a driver for speeding on Scenic Highway. Police said the citation was issued to the driver of a gray 2018 Subaru Outback. The driver was clocked at going 74 in a 50-mph zone, police said. The driver’s name was not released pending arraignment, police said.
Tuesday, February 14
A warrant arrest was made at 3:10 PM on Ash Court in Buzzards Bay. Police said that officers responded to reports of a vehicle parked for an extended amount of time on Main Street in Buzzards Bay. The vehicle’s plate number was checked with the Registry of Motor Vehicles, police said, and the owner was identified as Andrew A. Wood, 45, from Buzzards Bay. The RMV indicated that Mr. Wood had a warrant out of Fall River District Court charging him with trespassing. Officers went to Mr. Wood’s address where he was arrested without incident. He was later released on personal recognizance after paying the $40 administrative fee, police said.

At 3:33 PM, police made an arrest at a home on Sabbatt Road. Police said they arrested Anthony M. Hathaway, 34, from Bourne. Police said they had been looking for Mr. Hathaway and received a tip that he was seen climbing into his grandmother’s house. Officers went to the house and located Mr. Hathaway in the attic. Police said the suspect punched through the floor of the attic and went down the hole into the first floor, then ran out the back door. Officers had already surrounded the house and caught him after he ran out, police said.
Police said Mr. Hathaway had two active warrants out of Falmouth District Court and Bridgewater District Court, charging him with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and manslaughter while operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was additionally charged with resisting arrest and possession of a Class B drug. Officers found what is believed to be crack cocaine on him. He is being held without bail, police said.
