The following are excerpts from the Bourne Police Department logs dated Wednesday, December 23, through Tuesday, December 29.
Wednesday, December 23
At 11:45 AM, police responded to a two-car crash at the intersection of St. Margaret’s Street and the Route 6 & 28 Bypass Road in Buzzards Bay. The driver of a white 2012 Ford Explorer was on St. Margaret’s Street approaching the intersection and failed to stop for a red light. The driver was identified as Susan Placentino, 70, from Buzzards Bay. Ms. Placentino’s car collided with a gray 2019 Toyota Camry that had the right of way on the bypass road. The driver of the Camry was not injured, but Ms. Placentino was transported to an off-Cape hospital for unknown injuries. Police issued her a citation for failing to stop for a red light.
Thursday, December 24
Police responded to a single-car crash at 7:20 PM on Mashnee Road. Officers encountered a black 2006 Volkswagen Touareg that had gone off the road and collided with a tree. Before hitting the tree, the car also sideswiped two boulders and a flower pot. Police identified the driver as Thomas Gordon Jr., 34, from Pocasset. Police issued him a citation for texting while driving.
Saturday, December 26
At 12:13 PM, officers went to a two-car crash on Barlows Landing Road. The driver of a red 2010 Lexus sedan collided with a green 2012 Honda CR-V. The driver of the Lexus, identified as Kenneth Byron, 23, from Buzzards Bay, made a left turn into the parking lot for the Aubuchon Hardware store. Mr. Byron cut in front of the Honda, which had the right of way, causing the collision. Significant damage was done to both vehicles, and the driver of the Honda was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries. Police issued Mr. Byron a citation for failing to yield to oncoming traffic.
Monday, December 28
A motor vehicle stop at 3:17 AM resulted in several criminal citations being issued. Officers on patrol spotted a white 2012 Toyota Sienna van going over the Sagamore Bridge onto Route 3 North. A random check of the vehicle’s license plate showed the plate belonged to a white 2012 Chevrolet Cruze. The van was stopped and the driver identified as George Gonzalez-Estrada, 43, from Revere. Police issued him a citation for attaching plates as well as operating a motor vehicle that was uninsured and that had a revoked registration. The license plates were seized, and the vehicle was towed from the scene. Mr. Gonzalez-Estrada was given a ride to the McDonald’s restaurant on Meetinghouse Lane.

At 10:26 PM, police made an arrest at the McDonald’s restaurant on Meetinghouse Lane in Sagamore Beach. Officers were called to the scene for a minor accident in the drive-through lane. The driver of a gray 2009 Ford Focus bumped a white 2020 Kia Forte from behind. When officers arrived, they approached the driver of the Focus, identified as Keith B. Seger Jr., 31, from Marshfield. Mr. Seger was visibly intoxicated, police said, and stumbled when exiting his car. An officer reported that when Mr. Seger saw the driver of the Kia, he sarcastically apologized and directed homophobic comments at him. Mr. Seger failed a field sobriety test and was uncooperative when arrested and during the booking process at the police station. Police charged him with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, second offense. He was later released on personal recognizance.
Tuesday, December 29
A two-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of State Road and Old Plymouth Road at 11:26 AM. A gray 2019 Honda CR-V collided with a blue 2010 Nissan Altima. The driver of the Honda was identified as Elisabeth Jutkiewicz, 66, from Plymouth. Ms. Jutkiewicz was in a turnaround to turn left onto Old Plymouth Road. She cut in front of the Altima, which was going south on Old Plymouth Road. Early reports were of a rollover, but police said that did not appear to be the case. The driver of the Altima was taken to an area hospital with possible minor injuries. Police cited Ms. Jutkiewicz for failing to yield the right of way.

An arrest was made at 12:06 AM at the intersection of Plymouth Lane and Head of the Bay Road in Buzzards Bay. Officers responded to the scene of a single-car crash involving a white 2014 Mercedes sedan. Officers reported finding the car in the woods off the road on top of a 5-foot berm. The driver, identified as Harrison E. Holbrook IV, 25, from Boston, did not see the stop sign at the intersection, police said. Officers detected an odor of alcohol while speaking with Mr. Holbrook, who confirmed that he had been drinking before driving. He failed a field sobriety test and was arrested. Police charged him with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, speeding and a stop sign violation. He was later released on personal recognizance.
