A 27-foot cabin cruiser off of Scraggy Neck in Cataumet lost power Saturday afternoon, July 13, when its propeller became tangled in its anchor line.

The boat ran aground on the rocks behind 59 Pastor Road at 4:42 PM, according to Bourne Fire/Rescue Lieutenant Gilbert N. Taylor.

The two people on board were not injured, Lt. Taylor said.

The Fire/Rescue Department's Marine Boat 130 and a Bourne Department of Natural Resources boat responded to the scene, the fire/rescue department wrote on its Facebook page.

The Department of Natural Resources and Sea Tow required additional equipment to remove the boat from the rocks, said Lt. Taylor, who did not know when the boat had been removed or the extent of any damage.

The Department of Natural Resources could not be reached for comment.
