The following are excerpts from the Bourne Police Logs dated Saturday, December 18, through Wednesday, December 22.

Saturday, December 18

At 9:04 PM, a motor vehicle stop took place at the intersection of Scenic Highway and Herring Pond Road. The driver of a black 2015 Acura was stopped because the car’s driver’s side tail light was not working. A check with the Registry of Motor Vehicle indicated that the car had not been inspected since 2020. The driver was identified as Kurt Palluccio, 44, from Mashpee. Police cited Mr. Palluccio for uninspected motor vehicle, defective tail light and vehicle registration not in possession.

A motor vehicle stop at 10:26 PM on the off-Cape side of Route 25 led to several citations. An officer on patrol spotted a black 2005 Audi with no rear registration sticker. Police stopped the car and identified the driver as Shawna Walsh, 38, from Carver. The officer also detected that the car’s window tint was such that his flashlight could not shine through the window. Police cited Ms. Walsh for improper display of registration, excessive window tint and failure to have motor vehicle inspected.

Monday, December 20

Police were called to a three-vehicle crash on Sandwich Road at 5:19 PM. The driver of a black 2019 Hyundai Elantra was traveling toward Sandwich when the car went off the road and hit a black 2009 Jeep Wrangler in the parking lot of the Whaleback Restaurant. The impact caused the Hyundai to spin out of control and collide with a gray 2019 Dodge pickup truck headed in the direction of the Bourne Bridge. The driver of the Hyundai was identified as James Irving, 61, from Sandwich. Police cited Mr. Irving for failing to stay in marked lanes. He was taken to an area hospital after he complained of neck pain.

Tuesday, December 21

At 8:53 AM, a two-vehicle crash happened on Trowbridge Road near the Bourne Bridge rotary. The driver of a black 2018 Buick Encore rear-ended a red 2017 Ford Explorer as the two vehicles were merging into rotary traffic. No one was hurt in the crash. The driver of the Buick was identified as Katharine Lemieux, 19, from Bourne. Ms. Lemieux was cited for following too closely. The driver of the Explorer was identified as Laura Cuellodelopes, 25, from Falmouth. Police cited Ms. Cuellodelopes for driving an unregistered motor vehicle.

Wednesday, December 22

A motor vehicle stop happened at 1:02 AM on MacArthur Boulevard. An officer on patrol saw a black 2016 Jeep Renegade with its front passenger headlight not working. The car was stopped and the driver identified as Lana Hassett, 37, from Wareham. Ms. Hassett did not have her driver’s license with her, so identification was made through the Registry of Motor Vehicles. The RMV indicated that the car had not been inspected. Ms. Hassett was issued a citation for vehicle equipment violation, no inspection sticker and license not in possession.
