Gabriel Sequeira

Gabriel Sequeira was a member of multiple athletic teams as well as a member of the National Honor Society, school band and history club during his time at Bourne High School.

He said that over the years he played football, spring track and winter track. It has been difficult to participate in sports this year due to the pandemic, he said.

After high school, Gabriel said, he will be attending Massachusetts Maritime Academy to study marine transportation.

“I am excited for the opportunity to travel and continue building a knowledge of other cultures,” he said. “Something I fell in love with ever since 7th grade Spanish class.”

Gabriel said his best memories have been formed in the band room.

He said he has always had a passion for music, and his instructors have always provided a space for him to build on that passion.

“The friends that I have met in band will last a lifetime,” he said. “While some enjoy getting goosebumps from horror movies, I get mine from the beautiful music that is crafted within [Ms. Fournier’s] classroom.”

Gabriel thanked his parents for giving him the drive to succeed.
