Repairs to the Bourne and Sagamore bridges will continue next week, causing overnight lane restrictions.

The US Army Corps of Engineers announced that work on the bridges will be done between Monday, July 22 and Friday, July 26, between the hours of 9 PM and 5 AM.

Army Corps spokesman Timothy Dugan said there will be one lane in each direction on only one bridge at a time on those nights that work will be done.

“The work is weather dependent and will be scheduled when there is a period or warm, dry weather for the contractor to complete the work,” Mr. Dugan said.

All travel lanes will be open each day outside of the work shifts occurring at night.

Repair work on the bridges that was scheduled for this past week was not completed due to the heavy rainstorms, Mr. Dugan said.
