A Falmouth woman injured in a car crash on MacArthur Boulevard last Friday, January 31, will be facing multiple charges, police said.

Police were called to the scene of the crash at 7:47 PM when someone reported that a car had crashed into a telephone pole. Police said that the car suffered heavy damage and that the driver was still in the vehicle when they arrived.

The driver was identified as Deirdre Collins, 60, of Falmouth.

Police said that Ms. Collins was given a series of field sobriety tests, which she failed. She was transported to a Rhode Island hospital with minor injuries.

As a result of the crash, police said, Ms. Collins will be charged with operating under the influence of liquor for a third offense, operating a motor vehicle in violation of license restrictions, a marked lanes violation, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and failing to wear a seat belt.
