A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with an SUV on Sandwich Road.

The crash happened around 10 PM, Sunday night, September 6 at the intersection of Sandwich Road and Cranberry Highway. Bourne police identified the motorcyclist as Cecelia Finnegan, 26, from South Chatham.

Ms. Finnegan was transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Plymouth with life-threatening injuries after colliding with a Jeep Cherokee. She died at the hospital. No details regarding what precipitated the collision have been released.

The crash remains under investigation by Bourne police. No charges have been brought, as the investigation is underway.
