The Bourne Board of Selectmen unanimously appointed Marc R. Brunco of Buzzards Bay to the Bourne Commission on Disabilities.

Mr. Brunco’s appointment was made during the board’s remote meeting on Wednesday, May 20. He told the selectmen that he had recently moved to Buzzards Bay from Barnstable. While living in Barnstable, he was a member of its disability commission for two years.

Mr. Brunco noted that he served as the group’s chairman for the last six months of his tenure before moving to Bourne. He also explained to the board that he has a disability, Asperger’s syndrome.

“So I can also offer the perspective of living with an invisible disability to the commission,” he said.

Mr. Brunco will fill an unexpired term on the commission through June 30, 2021.
