For the first time in two years, there has been a change at the top of Bourne’s governing board. The select board has voted Mary Jane Mastrangelo to be its new chairwoman.

Ms. Mastrangelo was voted in during the board’s meeting on Tuesday, May 23. She takes over the center seat at the table from Peter J. Meier, who had served as chairman since 2021. Ms. Mastrangelo, prior to being elected to the select board, served as chairwoman of the finance committee and the sewer commissioners.
