A New Bedford man causing a disturbance at a Main Street laundromat on Monday, February 3, was arrested and charged on an outstanding warrant.

Police were called to the business at 5:15 PM when someone reported that a suspicious man was in the building. Police identified the man as Patrick Maloney, 60, of New Bedford.

Mr. Maloney was unsteady on his feet and appeared to be intoxicated at the time of his arrest, police said.

While speaking with him, police found that he had a warrant out of New Bedford District Court on multiple charges of miscellaneous municipal ordinance or bylaw violations, shoplifting and assault.

He was arrested on the warrant and transported to Falmouth District Court.
