Help a worthy cause and get a nice Mother’s Day present.

The substance use disorder support group Parents Supporting Parents is offering its first-ever online auction. The group has assembled items that people can bid on, with a goal of raising $10,000 for PSP’s Memorial Scholarship Program.

The scholarship program awards admission funds for people seeking substance abuse treatment. Scholarships are awarded to one of PSP’s selected group of structured sober living homes within the Massachusetts and New Hampshire area. All applicants must reside in Barnstable County, or have a parent, grandparent or legal guardian who resides in the county.

The scholarship programs are awarded to defray the cost of sober living for people coming directly from a treatment facility where they have been deemed ready for sober living by their treatment counselor or manager.

PSP’s Mother’s Day Auction went live on April 16. Among the items people can bid on are a one-night stay at the Sea Crest Beach Hotel in Falmouth, a two-night stay at the Bay Motor Inn in Buzzards Bay, Red Sox game tickets, golf at the Hyannisport Club and spa treatments at Mirbeau in Plymouth.

Go to www.parentsfightingaddiction.org/mothers-day-auction to bid on any of the items. Bids can be placed until 9 AM on Friday, April 30. All winners will receive an email notification with payment instructions.
