Bourne Police

Bourne fire/rescue personnel transported a woman to Tobey Hospital in Wareham for evaluation following a two-car rear-end collision on Route 28 north Saturday afternoon, December 28, Bourne Fire Lieutenant Gilbert N. Taylor said.

The crash took place at 1:45 PM near the entrance of the Bourne Integrated Solid Waste Management facility at 201 MacArthur Boulevard, Lt. Taylor said.

The injured woman was a passenger in the car that was hit from behind. Neither driver was injured, Lt. Taylor said.

Both cars were towed due to heavy damage, and Bourne police closed one lane of Route 28 north and the waste facility entrance for about a half-hour while the crash was being cleared, the lieutenant said.
