Winter weather kept Bourne police and firefighters busy on Thursday, February 18. Police and rescuers responded to a pair of two-vehicle crashes that occurred late morning and early afternoon.

At 12:27 PM, a crash happened at the intersection of Scenic Highway and Church Lane. Police said a gray 2019 Toyota RAV4 collided with a white 2018 Hyundai Sonata. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, police said.

Fire officials said one person from the RAV4 was taken by ambulance to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Plymouth. Two people from the Hyundai were taken by ambulance to Tobey Hospital in Wareham. Injuries for all three were described as minor and non-life threatening.

Earlier in the day, at 10:56 AM, police and fire responded to a two-car crash on the Sagamore Bridge. Fire officials said the crash involved a utility van and a BMW. The crash occurred on the side of the bridge headed off-Cape.

Impact from the crash resulted in airbag deployment, but there were no medical transports, fire officials said.
