UPDATE June 5, 2019 5 PM: The tours of the Bourne Intermediate School have been postponed. Details regarding new times and dates are not yet available. 

With the Bourne Intermediate School nearing completion, the district is opening the doors and allowing members of the public to see the new building.

There are two rounds of tours scheduled this week which are open to members of the community. The first is tomorrow from 5 PM to 7 PM. The second will be on Saturday from 10 AM to 1 PM.

The intermediate school is slated to be ready for students for next school year and will be used to educate the town's 3rd grades through 5th grades. When the school opens, Bournedale Elementary School will become the district's early elementary school for the town's preschoolers through 2nd graders. Bourne Middle School will be for the 6th through 8th graders. Bourne High School will remain 9th through 12th grade.

Once the new school is completed, the demolition of the James F. Peebles Elementary School will begin.
