Monument Neck Road Train Crossing

Crews have starting work on renovating the railroad tracks in Pocasset and Monument Beach. Earlier this week, work took place at the train crossing at Monument Neck Road.

Work is underway on the railroad tracks in Bourne along in the Pocasset and Monument Beach areas.

Crews were out earlier this week working on the crossing at Monument Neck Road.

Beginning Monday, September 21, construction will begin to replace the railroad crossing at Red Brook Harbor Road, near Parker's Boatyard.

Work is scheduled to be completed as of Wednesday evening, September 23.

While construction is underway, travel through the crossing will be prohibited with detours in place.

Bourne Police Chief Dennis R. Woodside said officers will be in the area to assist motorists. Chief Woodside said the project has been coordinated with other Bourne public safety agencies "to ensure minimum disruption of services."
