An adult male was transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Plymouth with non life-threatening injuries Thursday evening, June 20 after a single-vehicle accident on Route 6 near the Sagamore Bridge.

Deputy Fire Chief with the Bourne Fire Department Joseph J. Carrara said that an off-duty nurse was tending to the man following the accident when the department arrived close to 11 PM.

Police are still investigating the crash but it appears the vehicle had collided with something on the side of the road before resting in the street.

Traffic was temporarily closed down when fire personnel helped the man out of the vehicle.
