Barbara Adams

Barbara F. (Graham) Adams, 98, of Pocasset died April 24.

Ms. Adams was born in Monticello, Maine.

She was the widow of William S. Adams. The couple met at a dance in the fire station in Canton.

Ms. Adams and her husband raised their three daughters—Joan, Barbara and Linda—in Quincy.

They moved to Bourne in retirement and spent winters in Lecanto, Florida.

They enjoyed going out dancing and socializing with friends, and Ms. Adams loved to cook and entertain. She was known for serving her meals “piping hot.”

She leaves two daughters, Barbara Shevory and her husband, Richard Shevory, of Bourne and Linda Shay and her husband, Gerry Shay, of Marshfield; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Patricia Borden of New Hampshire; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her eldest daughter.

Services will be private.
