Barbara F. Lund, 88, of Pocasset died April 1 at Cape Cod Hospital.

She was the wife of Richard M. Lund for 65 years.

Born and raised in Worcester and the daughter of Francis F. Dennis and Marion (O’Hara) Dennis, she attended North High School. She graduated from Boston College School of Nursing, cum laude, in 1955 with a bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Ms. Lund worked as a registered nurse for 31 years at The Memorial Hospital in Worcester as assistant nurse manager on the oncology and geriatric unit.

She and her husband raised their family in Northborough before retiring to Cape Cod. Here she enjoyed boating and going to the beach with her family.

Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Karen Fleming of North Grafton and Kristen Rakers of Belchertown; two granddaughters, Jennifer Flint and Amanda Canfield; nine great-grandchildren; and extended family.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church in Pocasset.

Burial was at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
