Bernard Gustaf Sundquist, who had moved to Pocasset in 1971, died February 12 at Falmouth Hospital. He was 89.

He was the widower of Virginia Louise (Pearl) Sundquist. They had been married for 56 years.

Born and raised in Norwood, he was the son of John and Sadie (Johnson) Sundquist. When he was 2 years old, following the death of his mother, his father married Ina Carlson.

Mr. Sundquist worked in the glass industry for most of his life and was the owner of Falmouth Glass & Mirror Company.

In his free time he enjoyed boating and golfing.

He leaves his son, Brian K. Sundquist and his wife, Irene M. Sundquist, of Monument Beach; Richard J. Concannon and his wife, Barbara J. Concannon, of Monument Beach, and Patricia M. (Concannon) Anderson and her husband, Stephan G. Anderson, of Pocasset; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Carl Sundquist of Dedham.

Services were private.
