Brian Spinola

Brian M. Spinola, of Buzzards Bay and formerly of Mashpee, died unexpectedly on November 7 at Falmouth Hospital. He was 49.

He was the son of Thomas Spinola Sr. and Diana (Gomes) Spinola, and was born in Wareham.

After his graduation from Bourne High School, he began his career as a construction worker. Mr. Spinola was a member of the Local 385 Laborers’ Union. He was known as Pum and for his reputation as a hard worker.

When he was not working, he spent time attending the games of his two sons, Joseph and Jacoby, playing basketball with them and riding dirt bikes. Mr. Spinola also played in a softball league.

In addition to his children, Joseph Spinola and Jacoby Spinola, both of Mashpee, he leaves his fiancée, Mika Miranda of Buzzards Bay; his former wife and the mother of his children, Suzette Peters Mattis of Mashpee; and a large extended family.

He was predeceased by his parents as well as his brother, Thomas Spinola Jr.

Visiting hours will be Saturday, November 14, from 10 AM to noon at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Avenue in Mashpee.

A graveside service will immediately follow at the Old Indian Cemetery in Mashpee.
