David Cashin of Monument Beach, who was known as Everett, died March 17 at the age of 55.

He was a master carpenter who specialized in detail work.

In addition to carpentry and construction, Mr. Cashin was handy with yard work; fishing and lobstering; and car, tool and home repairs. He had a passion for shellfishing, and shared his catches with friends.

He leaves his father, David Cashin; a daughter; a grandson; four sisters and a brother; many nieces and nephews; and a large extended family.

A celebration of his life will be Sunday, March 24, from 1 to 5 PM at The Weary Travelers Club, 77 Valley Bars Road in Monument Beach.
