David Joseph Silva, 42, of Centerville died September 3. He leaves family in Mashpee and Bourne.

He was the son of Mary Jane Silva and Joseph G. Galvin Jr. and the father of a daughter named Lynae.

Mr. Silva was an avid sports fan, and he also had a love of animals and children.

In addition to his daughter and parents, he leaves his siblings, Glenn Silva of Greenfield, Lenny Silva of Centerville, Timmy Silva of Mashpee and Ronnie Silva of Bourne; six stepbrothers and sisters, Joseph Galvin III, Diane Donalson, Carmen Sylvester, Jermaine Debarros, Emma Galvin and Benjamin Galvin; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Visiting hours will be Sunday, September 12, beginning at noon with a service at 3 o’clock, at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, John-Lawrence Chapel, 3778 Falmouth Road in Marstons Mills.
