Devyn James Killion, a former Bourne resident, died May 11 as the result of an automobile accident in Mississippi. Mr. Killion, 25, had moved to Poplarville, Mississippi, last year.
The son of James and Becky Killion, he graduated from Bourne High School in the Class of 2012. He played baseball for the BHS Canalmen, a sport he had begun as a member of Little League and Babe Ruth teams. He had also studied karate.
He continued his education at Bridgewater State University, from which he graduated in 2017.
Mr. Killion was a driver for Pizza by Evan in Monument Beach. After his move to Poplarville, he worked for a consolidated debt loan company and also for Olive Garden.
He was an avid fan of all New England sports teams.
In addition to his parents, he leaves his paternal grandmother, Carol A. Keeney of Bourne; grandparents James Killion of Florida, Debra Wallace of Florida, and Gordon Tonge of Bourne; three aunts, Charlene M. Tilden of Mattapoisett, Patricia Keeney of Exeter, New Hampshire, and Rachael Greaney; several cousins, Samantha and Britney Tilden, Vincent Pennisi, and Jadeyn and Kallyn Greaney; and other family.
A service of sharing and remembrance was May 26 at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home in Wareham, followed by a coalition.
