Grace C. Jacobs, 89, of Pocasset died at home on December 5.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of Mary M. (Delay) and George M. Kilduff. She was raised in Roslindale, and graduated from St. Mary High School in Brookline.

She was the widow of Leo P. Jacobs.

Ms. Jacobs moved to Pocasset from Dedham in 1980. She worked for many years at Mahoney’s Garden Center in East Falmouth.

In addition to gardening, she loved reading, sailing and painting and she was a fan of the Boston Red Sox.

A member of St. Mary’s Church Sodality, she taught CCD classes and ran the annual Christmas booth at Xaverian Brothers.

She leaves three children, Leo P. Jacobs of Mashpee, Gail A. Jacobs of Pocasset, and Clare M. Connolly of Plymouth; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her children Mary C. McHugh and Kevin M. Jacobs.

A funeral Mass was said on Tuesday, December 14, at St. John the Evangelist Church in Pocasset.

Burial followed at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
