Joseph Patrick Donovan, 51, of Orlando, Florida, died February 21. He was a former Bourne resident and leaves family here.

He was the husband of Lisa (Payne) Donovan for 23 years.

Mr. Donovan was an employee of Hard Rock Live, a state-of-the-art concert venue in Orlando, for nearly 20 years. He also was a freelance stage lighting designer.

He graduated in 1985 from Bourne High School and also attended University of Massachusetts Amherst. He had moved to Florida in the early 1990s.

A lifelong Boston sports fan, he also enjoyed NASCAR and fishing.

In addition to his wife, he leaves two sons, Cameron Donovan and his wife, Samantha Donovan, and Nolan Donovan, all of Orlando; a grandaughter, Jennifer Donovan, also of Orlando; his mother, Shirley F. Donovan of Sagamore Beach; a brother, Bryan J. Donovan Jr. of Springfield; a sister, Terri Creedon of Woodstock, Connecticut; two nieces and a nephew; and extended family.

He was predeceased by his father, Bryan J. Donovan Sr.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 30, at 11 AM at St. Margaret’s Church, 141 Main Street in Buzzards Bay.

Following the service, there will be a gathering at the Mezza Luna Restaurant in Buzzards Bay.
