Michele Denise King, 39, of Sagamore died unexpectedly at home December 30.

She was the wife of Christopher Miles King. The couple married on March 8, 2014, and were parents of two children, 6-year-old Josephina Soleil (JoJo) King and 1-year-old Miles Raymond King. Her husband died December 29.

Ms. King was a mathematics teacher at Sturgis Charter Public School in Hyannis. Prior to her nine years at Sturgis, she taught at several other schools on the East Coast as far south as Savannah, Georgia.

She was born in Rhinebeck, New York, and spent most of her life on Cape Cod. She received her master's degree from Simmons College.

In addition to her children, Ms. King leaves her parents, Joseph and Joselle Della Morte; her father, Daniel Mapes; her four younger siblings; and other family.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 6, from 3 to 7 PM at Corpus Christi Church, 324 Quaker Meetinghouse Road in East Sandwich.

A Mass will be celebrated Friday, January 7, at 11 AM at the church.

Interment will be private and at a later date.
