Susan C. Chevrefils of Melbourne Beach, Florida, who lived in Sagamore Beach for 36 years and worked for the water district in the village, died August 23. Ms. Chevrefils, 75, died from complications of Huntington's disease.

She was the wife of Roland E. Chevrefils Jr., to whom she was married for 53 years. She and her husband moved to Melbourne Beach in 2010.

Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Anna Elizabeth (Skorupski) Miles and Robert Albert Miles.

Ms. Chevrefils worked for the Sagamore Water District as its treasurer; she was the first certified district treasurer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

She was installed as a new member of the Bourne Women's Club in 1997 and was a lifetime member of Weight Watchers.

In addition to her husband, she leaves a son, David R. Chevrefils of Melbourne, Florida; two brothers, David R. Miles of Alexandria, Virginia, and Christopher A. Miles of Sagamore Beach; three nieces and a nephew; and other extended family.

Ms. Chevrefils was predeceased by her mother in 2005 and her father in 1981.

Visiting hours will be Friday, September 3, from 9 to 10 AM at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154  Route 6A in Sandwich.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 o'clock at Corpus Christi Church, 326 Quaker Meetinghouse Road in East Sandwich.

Burial will be at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
