Hats off to Amy Cetner, principal of Bourne High School, who even with all the restrictions caused by COVID, managed to keep up the Annual Bourne Memorial Garden commemoration for all students who died during their school years.

Ms. Cetner collated a video production featuring each child’s picture, an original poem written and recited by a Bourne High student, and ending with a trumpet solo of Taps by a member of the band.

What a wonderful gift this is to family members who can download and forward the ceremony to far-away family and friends.

Thanks to Ms. Cetner for caring for the Garden and making sure that students focus on the saying engraved on the large boulder: “You are Ever a Part of our Lives.” Bourne remembers!

PS: For anyone who wishes to read in detail the lives of those who are engraved in the Garden, there are three Memory Albums available for perusal: one at Bourne High, one at Bourne Middle and one at the Town of Bourne Public Library.
