Five years ago, two hard-working, dedicated and savvy independent business people, Russ and Erin, opened the Gray Gables Market on Shore Road in Bourne. Those of us who live in the Gray Gables section of Bourne are celebrating this store’s fifth anniversary because this independent market has added tremendous value not only to the neighborhood but also to the town.

Bourne is focused on economic development and is trying to attract businesses, both large and small, to the town villages. Russ and Erin’s market demonstrates how hard work and customer focus turn a business plan into economic success. I have been a customer for all five years and have never been disappointed. I have experienced great sandwiches, quality meats and chicken. When we run out of something while preparing breakfast, lunch or dinner, I can always find the missing item at “The Gables.” I encourage everyone to try this market. I know you will like it.
