A mountain of a man for the Bourne boys’ basketball team, senior Cam Dunbury has barely reached the summit of his success on the hardwood.
The 6-10 center poured in 52 points in two games this week for the Canalmen, as his team split the two road contests. In a single-digit loss to Fairhaven over the weekend, Dunbury scored 29 points, and after the game the senior said he “should’ve had 50.”
On Tuesday, February 4 in Seekonk, Dunbury scored a game-high 23 points in a tightly contested road win against the Warriors. He scored 19 of his points between the second and third quarters, where the Canalmen built up a 14-point lead entering the fourth quarter.
With five games remaining on the season, Dunbury is averaging a double-double in scoring and rebounding while ranking second in the South Coast Conference in points per game with 17.6—less than a point behind Somerset-Berkley’s Joe Nugent.
