Bourne Football vs. Martha's Vineyard — October 4, 2019

The Canalmen football team may have yet to win a game this season, but it’s easy to see the progression of freshman quarterback Joseph Carrara has showed under center.

During Bourne’s 34-6 home loss to Martha’s Vineyard on Friday, October 4, Carrara passed for 100 yards—all in the second half—including a 34-yard touchdown pass on the run to senior Logan Hawkes in the fourth quarter.

He also had the most rushing yards for the Canalmen on the evening, rushing for 46 yards on eight attempts.

Defensively, Carrara picked off a pass from Vineyarders’ quarterback Jayden Coyle. Fans can catch the freshman QB in action on Friday, October 11, against Fairhaven on the road.
