The Bourne and UCT golf teams were part of the 10-team Division 3 Cape & Islands South Sectional tournament on Monday, October 21.

Playing on the par-71 Dennis Highlands Golf Course, the Canalmen placed sixth overall while the Rams rounded out the field with a 10th place finish. Bourne was 45 strokes off the lead, posting a team score of 365 while UCT totaled 411 points.

Bishop Stang, with 324 points, placed first in the team rankings, just edging out Mashpee (328 points). Martha’s Vineyard (332 points), Nantucket (354) and Sturgis East (364 points) finished out the top five teams.

Mashpee’s Colin Spencer won the individual tournament for the second-straight year, shooting a one-over 72.

Bourne’s top finisher was Jake Lunedei, who shot an 86, while the Rams’ top finisher was Pat Ghelfhi with a 90.

The rest of the Bourne finishers included Jared Baptist (92), Ben Halunen (93), Kam Sassone (94), Mya Murphy (95) and Nick Petrillo (101). For UCT, the team finishers were Connor McEntee (105), Chase Romiza and Ben George (108), Chris Peckham (109) and Pete Langan (115).
