Hopping Past

Bourne co-captain Ben Hopwood makes a move to get past the defense during the Canalmen’s tight win over rival Wareham on Monday evening.

Senior Shea Ullo is on a hot streak right now, and it has helped the Bourne High School boys’ soccer team to get above .500 as it makes a push for the state tournament. Ullo scored two goals as the host Canalmen upended Apponequet by a 2-0 score on Wednesday afternoon, October 19.

Ullo has been the team’s number-one weapon over the last three games, which has seen the team go 2-0-1. He scored all four of the team’s goals as it tied 1-1, won 1-0 and then 2-0. The last goal not scored by Ullo came in a 2-1 win over Case on October 3. Mike Dankert scored that one, and Ullo assisted on it.
