Upper Cape Tech sophomore Jared Nawoichik put on shooting clinic during a non-conference road game on Monday, February 10.
Not only did he set school records in 3-pointers (11) made and points scored (38) in a single game, but he also nearly outscored the entire St. John Paul II team en route to a 83-41 win.
Nawoichik made eight of his shots from long distance between the second and third quarters and had 20 points by halftime before adding another 18 in the second half. The majority of his shots were of the spot-up variety, leaving him with more points than dribbles for the game.
Both previous records were held for 11 years by Ryan Delgado, who sank nine 3’s for 35 points back in 2009.
