A slow start was too much for the Upper Cape Tech volleyball team to overcome in a Mayflower Athletic Conference Small Division road match.

The Rams lost the first set, 25-6, on Wednesday, October 16 against Old Colony, but gave the Cougars everything they could handle over the final two sets. UCT pushed the Rochester team in defeat, coming up just short in the second and third sets, 25-23 and 26-24, respectively.

Zoe Janicki finished the match with eight service points, 11 hits, four tips and two kills for the Rams. Taylor Richards added 27 assists and two blocks.
