This past year we lost an esteemed member of the glass community, Edward D. Poore. in celebration of his life and talent, the Sandwich Glass Museum is pleased to present A Cut Above - A Tribute to Edward Poore, a special exhibit highlighting the work of this talented individual. Ed Poore was a gifted glass cutter, who began is career at the Pairpoint Glass Works in Sagamore, Massachusetts. He was fascinated with paperweights, which turned into a career specializing in the restortion of antique and conteporary paperweights. Additionally, he created cut glass sculptures of his own design, as well as new engraving patterns.
