The library is closed on Monday, September 2, in observance of Labor Day. On Tuesday, September 3, Falmouth Public Schools and Falmouth Academy start the new school year and the After-School LEGO Club resumes its Tuesday afternoon schedule. The children’s and teen rooms and the café area downstairs are great places for kids to come after school to have a snack, chill out with friends, and maybe next week … do some homework. September is library card sign-up month. Be sure to join in the weekly raffles for great prizes. See what we’ve lined up for other special events throughout the month. A library card is your free ticket to all kinds of journeys!

Questions Asked at the Reference Desk

Q. Do you have something where I can look up the value of my boat?

A. Yes, we have “NADA Marine Appraisal Guide.” You can look up 15 years of values for boats from 7 feet to 60 feet in length. It is updated three times a year and we keep back issues, so you can go back even further than 15 years. In addition, we have “NADA Official Used Car Guide” and “Official Older Used Car Guide” for passenger cars and light-duty trucks. All of these guides are behind the reference desk. Ask a friendly reference librarian for the ones you need.

If you have a reference question, email the reference department at info@falmouthpubliclibrary.org, call 508-457-2555, extension 7, or stop by the reference desk. We are happy to help you.
