Outgoing Rotary Club of Falmouth president Adrienne Baumann and her successor, Paul McCadam.

The Rotary Club of Falmouth held its 2020-21 officers and directors installation meeting in Hutker Yard at Falmouth Academy on Monday, June 29.

The socially distanced outdoor ceremony celebrated the tenure of outgoing president Adrienne Baumann and formally installed her successor Paul McCadam, along with incoming officers and directors.

During the event Ms. Baumann was praised for her steady, optimistic leadership during challenging times. She noted that when the organization announced last July that its 2019 theme would be “Rotary Connects the World,” she could not have anticipated how important staying connected would be in the year to come.

Mr. McCadam also serves as president of the board of directors for Belonging to Each Other, an organization that provides service and support to the local homeless population. He was initially drawn to the Rotary Club by its principle motto, “Service Above Self.” In his keynote remarks, he set an ambitious agenda for building on the organization’s longstanding commitment to service. Among his stated priorities are expanding the club’s membership and increasing its gender, racial and ethnic diversity, increasing its community outreach efforts and impact through additional events and fundraisers, and elevating the organization’s profile in the community.
