Ptah Brown, an internationally known jazz and gospel singer, is the guest vocalist for Waquoit Church’s annual Martin Luther King Jr., worship service on Sunday, January 19, at 10 AM.

Ms. Brown will sing gospel and well as blues. Jennifer Rossiter will play keyboards; Laird Boles will be on bass.

“It’s great to be able to share God’s gift of music anywhere, but especially here on Cape Cod, one of my favorite places, and for Martin Luther King’s birthday,” said Ms. Brown. “I’ll be bringing God’s word through music.”

Brown has performed around the world with notable musicians such as Bobby Chen, Guy Davis, George Clinton & The P-Funk, The Jazz Expressions, Sharrie Williams, Lucky Peterson, Wilson Pickett, John Lee Hooker, and others.

“We are blessed to have Ptah in worship,” said the Rev. Nell Fields, minister at the Waquoit Church. “She embodies the Spirit.”

Sunday services at the Waquoit Congregational Church start at 10 AM. The church is located at 15 Parsons Lane, corner of Route 28, in Waquoit. All are welcome. For more information, call the church office at 508-548-5269
