Bundle up, and bring a big basket. The Holiday Market will take place as usual, outdoors, at Marine Park on Scranton Avenue in Falmouth on Tuesday, November 24. With COVID-19 precautions in place and no dogs allowed, the market will open earlier than usual, at 10 AM, and close by 2 PM.
All regular farmers will be there with loads of seasonal vegetables for the Thanksgiving table. Peachtree Circle Farm will also have jams, pickles and holiday relishes. Lara’s Cuisine will offer pasta and pestos. Moonlight Rose Alpaca will bring its beautiful woolens, including warm hats, gloves and socks—lovely local gifts, all.
Lilac Hedge Farm will have preordered birds and meats ready for pickup and some to sell, as well. What A Grind will be there to sharpen the carving and kitchen knives, along with The Sunny Farm bringing festive evergreens including wreaths and swags.
The SNAP bonus program, which gives a bonus of up to $10 to those using an EBT card, continues through this market. Martha’s Vineyard Bank Charitable Foundation and the Woods Hole Foundation’s financial supported this program. Two farmers also participated in the Healthy Incentive Program. Stop at the green market tent for more information or to take advantage of the bonus program.
To donate to the Falmouth Service Center, Share Your Bounty will be collecting pantry foods on their behalf, nonperishable items only.
