Three new educational opportunities for adults start at the Cape Conservatory’s Falmouth campus later this month.

"Holiday Flutes," directed by Mary Sholkovitz, starts on Wednesday, October 23. This ensemble offers intermediate to advanced musicians the opportunity to play fun and familiar holiday tunes, including “Greensleeves,” “Jingle Bells,” and select sacred songs. Flutists looking to join together and make great music for the holiday season should find this the perfect low-pressure and congenial atmosphere.

"Music Appreciation: A Night at the Symphony," taught by music historian Amber Broderick, starts on Wednesday, October 30. This fascinating course focuses exclusively on the symphony orchestra, from its earliest conception in the early 1700s, its glorious zenith in the Classical and Romantic eras, to the subsequent “death” of the symphony in the 20th century.

Two digital art workshops for iPhone and iPad, taught by Lisa Jo Rudy, are being held on consecutive Saturdays, October 26 and November 2. Intro to iPhone Photography delves into the native editing suite on iPhones. Instruction will include tips on organizing, sharing, and printing images from an iPhone as well as best techniques for taking shots and selfies for stellar quality images. Intro to Digital Art will explore the industry’s latest apps focusing on unique techniques to make your digital art and photos pop.
