11:45 AM: Police responded to a report of a deceased 52-year-old man. It is under investigation. At this time, the death does not appear suspicious.

3:51 PM: An officer responded to a Teaticket residence for a woman making delusional statements. He determined that she was a danger to herself and others as a result of her mental health issues. Fire department medics took her to the hospital. Animal Control took custody of her dog.

Saturday, October 9

4:15 PM: Multiple callers reported that a man had been jumped in the area of Jones Road and Dove Cottage Road. Police arrived and found the victim was uncooperative, but had sustained obvious injuries. He was transported to the hospital. Police learned that the victim of the assault was an associate of a suspect in a recent stabbing incident. The incident remains under investigation.

Sunday, October 10

1:08 AM: A 911 caller at the Cape Cod Camp Resort reported a disturbance involving a man under the influence of mushrooms, marijuana and alcohol. The man was transported to Falmouth Hospital.

4:42 PM: Baycove called to request that an officer standby while a staff member evaluated a client. Based on the assessment, the client was committed. The officers coordinated an ambulance to transport the client to the emergency room for treatment/evaluation.

Monday, October 11

2:23 AM: A car crashed near on Palmer Avenue near Auto Camp Cape Cod. The driver told officers he swerved to avoid a deer and hit a fence.

12:51 PM: Officers were dispatched to a Cinroc Circle home for the report of a 67-year-old deceased man. It is under investigation; however, at this time, the death does not appear suspicious in nature.

2:15 PM: A woman became stuck in a storm drain under Chapoquoit Road while attempting to retrieve her dog from the water. Three citizens helped the woman and the dog out of the water. There were minor injuries.

5 PM: A caller reported that she had been unable to reach her elderly friend for more than a day, which was very unusual. The woman in question resides at Harborview Apartments. An officer responded but was unable to make contact with her. Police requested housing authority staff to help gain entry into the apartment, where they discovered the woman was in medical distress. She was taken to the emergency room.

Tuesday, October 12

9:26 AM: Officers responded to the cranberry bogs off Old Meetinghouse Road for a past assault. Upon arrival, officers discovered that two cranberry farmers were involved in a physical altercation that led to one person sustaining substantial facial injuries. The person was transported to the emergency room for non-life-threatening injuries. Charges will be filed upon completion of this investigation.

12:44 PM: Officers responded to Falmouth Hospital and served an involuntary committal for substance abuse warrant of apprehension. The patient/subject was subsequently transported to the Falmouth District Court for an evaluation.

4:01 PM: Officers responded to a Teaticket apartment to check the welfare of a woman who was not responding to people at her door or people calling. An officer found the door unsecured, and he entered. He located the elderly woman in medical distress and requested medics. She was transported to the emergency room.

4:09 PM: Officers responded to a Scranton Avenue apartment to check the welfare of a woman. It was determined that she also had an outstanding arrest warrant. The officers found that she was suicidal and was in need of mental health assistance. She was transported to the emergency room and put in protective custody. The warrant will be addressed at a later date.

9:42 PM: An officer stopped a vehicle for several motor vehicle violations. After speaking with the driver, police determined that he was intoxicated and impaired from alcohol. Bruce A. Parish, 59, of East Falmouth was arrested and charged with OUI-liquor, negligent operation, speeding, failing to wear a seatbelt, and failing to stay within marked lanes.

11:23 PM: Officers responded twice in an hour for the report of disorderly people in a parking lot on Depot Avenue and found an intoxicated man. Dana S. Coolio, 29, of Woods Hole resisted as he was taken into custody and continued his disorderly behavior. He was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
