Friday, September 24

8:25 PM: Police arrested Hope R. Power, 72, of East Falmouth for OUI-liquor, negligent operation, failing to stop for police, and failing to stay within marked lanes. Officers determined she was intoxicated after a caller reported she had passed out in her car, lying on her horn.

Saturday, September 25

5:31 PM: Officers responded to a motorcycle crash at the intersection of Sandwich Road and Pinecrest Beach Drive. The driver was unable to navigate the turn. The ends of the handle bars had a spike on either end; one of the spikes went through the driver’s arm by his wrist. He was transported to the hospital for his injuries.

7:21 PM: Officers were dispatched to the Dunkin’ Donuts on East Falmouth Highway for a report of an overdose. The person regained consciousness after receiving three doses of Narcan. The person denied taking any narcotics and was transported to the hospital.

7:39 PM: Officers were dispatched to the intersection of East Falmouth Highway and Acapesket Road for a report of a car that had crashed into a pole. The operator of the vehicle had fled the scene prior to the officers’ arrival.

7:53 PM: Officers responded to a home on Crowell Road where an intoxicated man was causing a disturbance at an engagement party. He took off on foot. After checking the area thoroughly, officers were unable to locate him. At 11:23 PM, police found him after he was found yelling at the intersection of Crowell Road and Davisville Road. Police transported him to a relative’s house.

Sunday, September 26

12:25 AM: A caller reported a loud party at Shucker’s World Famous Raw Bar. A wedding party may have created the noise as they departed the restaurant.

2:35 AM: A 911 caller reported that two men were breaking into a car in his driveway. An officer encountered the homeowner carrying a machete, stating he was looking for the perpetrators. There was no evidence of any perpetrators in the area and/or around the home. The officer believed the owner may have been suffering from a mental health crisis. He was left in the care of his wife.

7:21 PM: Officers were dispatched to a wooded area off Gifford Street to assist firefighters with a recreational vehicle and a car on fire. Arson investigators from the police and fire department are investigating.

10:09 PM: Police and fire responded to a man overdosing in a vehicle outside Kenyon’s Market. He was revived using Narcan and placed in police protective custody and was taken to the emergency room.

10:36 PM: Officers were dispatched to the Cumberland Farms in Teaticket for a male criminal known to police to have outstanding arrest warrants. Police arrested Tiah R. Anzivino, 26, of Falmouth after they caught him when he fled on foot. Herman A. Andrade, 42, of Mashpee was also arrested and found to be in possession of numerous narcotics. He also destroyed in the cell toilet additional narcotics that he had concealed. In addition to the outstanding arrest warrants, Mr. Andrade was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of Fentanyl and destruction of evidence.

Monday, September 27

12:04 AM: Police are investigating a crash near Oxbow Road when a car struck a tree. Both occupants were trapped. The 21-year-old male driver had a hip injury and was later sent via Med-Flight to a Boston area hospital. The 19-year-old female passenger suffered head and foot injuries. She was transported to Falmouth Hospital. Neither were wearing seatbelts. Alcohol may have been a factor. It is under investigation.

6:15 PM: Officers responded to a Sandwich Road for a woman who made suicidal statements to a friend. Officers determined she was in need of immediate mental health assistance and was intoxicated. Officers took her to the emergency room.

6:24 PM: Police responded to a bulletin issued by Bourne police regarding a stabbing in Pocasset resulting in a victim sustaining life-threatening injuries. A Falmouth detective located the man driving the vehicle on Sam Turner Road and two other officers assisted with the arrest.

7:29 PM: A walk-in reported being threatened by a coworker earlier in the day and she requested a harassment prevention order. Officers assisted her in obtaining it, and the defendant was served in hand.

11:14 PM: Police administered Narcan to a man who appeared to have overdosed near the Harborview Apartments’ parking lot and who hit his head when he fell. He was taken to the emergency room.

11:35 PM: Police responded to a report of a man lying on the ground outside the Clipper Ship Apartments on Teaticket Highway. The incident appeared to be medically related. The victim was taken to the emergency room.

Tuesday, September 28

5:34 PM: A rollover crash was reported on Central Avenue near River Haven Road where a car struck a tree. The driver, Kevin Wilson, 50, of East Falmouth was the sole occupant. He was freed through the sunroof of the car and somehow avoided any injuries and refused treatment. He was intoxicated and was arrested and charged with OUI-liquor, negligent operation, passing violation and a marked lanes violation. The vehicle was dragged off the tree and towed. Traffic was unable to pass for about 45 minutes in total while the scene was rendered safe. The tree division of the public works department responded and cut down a tree that was blocking all of the sidewalk and part of the travel lane.

8:04 PM: Fire and police responded to a man who overdosed at a Sao Paulo Road home. Police placed him in protective custody and he was transported to the emergency room.

8:13 PM: Officers were dispatched to a Main Street business for a man sleeping under some stairs in a building. He was drunk and had no one to call and nowhere to go. Police placed him in protective custody.

8:45 PM: Officers were dispatched to Gosnold Treatment for a disorderly man. The officers restored the peace. The male was not impaired and wanted to leave. He was given a ride by a cruiser to a local convenience store and arranged for a ride back home.

8:45 PM: Officers were dispatched to the vicinity of Quest Diagnostics in Homeport for a report of a man who appeared to be overdosing in his parked vehicle. He was unconscious and had a syringe on his lap. Officers arrived, and he fled into the woods. Police found him and medics transported him to the emergency room.

Wednesday, September 29

5:11 AM: Police and fire responded to a reported cocaine overdose. The man was conscious and was transported to Falmouth Hospital for treatment.

Thursday, September 30

4:35 PM: Officers were dispatched to a hit-and-run crash at the Stop & Shop traffic lights. An officer went to the suspect’s residence and issued the at-fault driver a citation for leaving the scene of a crash.

5:46 PM: Officers were dispatched to the Burger King parking lot for a woman drinking from an open container of alcohol in a vehicle with a flat tire. The responding officers spoke with the witnesses who observed the woman, Christine M. Short, 50, of Kingston, driving on Teaticket Highway. During her arrest, she kicked an officer and was destructive in the booking room, so the process could not be completed. She was charged with OUI-Liquor second offense, negligent operation, operating with a suspended license, possession of an open container of alcohol, assault & battery on a police officer, assault, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.
