Thursday, June 16
1:18 PM: Two drunk men setting up a camp in Goodwill Park began to fight with each other. A 29-year-old man from Falmouth was placed in protective custody and the other, a 62-year-old man from Falmouth was transported to Falmouth Hospital for being extremely intoxicated.
Friday, June 17
6:18 AM: A caller reported a vehicle with deployed airbags but no driver or passengers. The officer found the car in the parking lot Bourne Farm. The officer found a fire hydrant knocked off of its base, but no water was leaking. The car was towed. The Mashpee Police Department found the owner, identified as Lindsey Rowell at her home in Mashpee. The Falmouth officer served Ms. Rowell criminal citations for operating a motor vehicle as to endanger, leaving the scene of property damage, speeding, and marked lanes violation. No injuries were reported.
7:15 AM: A 911 caller reported a two-car crash on West Falmouth Highway. A driver was cited and both cars were towed from the scene.
4:12 PM: A two-car crash involved a Falmouth school bus on Old Main Road. The crash was minor and none of the 17 students on the bus were injured. The driver of the car was found at fault for failing to use care in backing up.
11:57 PM: A one-car crash was reported at the intersection of Thomas B. Landers Road and Route 28. The car was seriously damaged, along with a guard rail, but no injuries were reported. Jared Parker, 51, from Wellesley was arrested and charged with OUI alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop and yield, and a marked lanes violation. The car was towed.
Saturday, June 18
12:43 AM: A car crashed into a building at the corner of Scranton and Clinton avenues.
1:21 AM: A car crashed into a fence at the intersection of Surf Drive and Shore Street.
6:57 PM: A car struck a bicyclist on Route 28 in East Falmouth.
11:32 PM: Officers responded to the report of an unoccupied truck on a guardrail and wrapped in utility pole wires at the intersection of Wood Neck Road and Sippewissett Road. Eversource responded to secure the power and unwrap the truck. Attempts to contact the owner of the truck were unsuccessful. The road was closed until the truck was towed from the scene. The Falmouth Police Department is investigating the incident.
Sunday, June 19
2:23 AM: Jenny Chaves, 42, from West Bridgewater was arrested after an unwanted guest report was called to a North Falmouth Highway address. Ms. Chaves was arrested on three outstanding warrants from Brockton, Plymouth and Quincy district courts.
9:15 PM: Officers were dispatched to Walmart for the report of a drunk woman falling. She was found outside of Walmart and placed in protective custody at the police station until sober.
9:28 PM: The fire and police departments were dispatched to a crash with a car and a bicycle on Palmer Avenue. The cyclist had serious, but non-life-threatening injuries and was MedFlighted to Rhode Island Hospital for medical treatment. The driver was uninjured and is currently under investigation by the Falmouth Police Department. The condition of the cyclist is unknown.
Monday, June 20
10:02 AM: Representatives from the police department, the fire department, the harbor master’s office, and the department of public works responded to a report of illegal dumping at White’s Landing Road. Two 55-gallon drums of hazardous materials were located, one leaking. The officers controlled the area while the spill was managed.
2:05 PM: Officers responded to a Main Street apartment complex for a fight between two neighbors. Allegations of pushing and hitting with a cane were made. One person was transported to the emergency room for a head injury. Cross-complaints will be sought for both parties.
4:26 PM: Officers were dispatched to assist the fire department at the Falmouth Mall. Officers were looking for a woman who had fallen in the woods. She was located and highly intoxicated. She was placed in protective custody and transported to the emergency room. There was also a drunk and disorderly man on the scene who was found to have an outstanding arrest warrant. Fifty-nine-year-old Willian Rogers from Falmouth was arrested as a result.
Wednesday, June 22
12:35 PM: The Mullen Hall School principal reported a suspicious person on school grounds. The officers found that 36-year-old Robert A Greene from Buzzards Bay had an outstanding arrest warrant from the Quincy District Court and he was placed under arrest.
3:05 PM: A caller reported that a woman was having trouble standing near the Teaticket Market. Officers found that the 54-year-old Falmouth woman was intoxicated. She was placed under protective custody and brought to the police station to be held until sober.
