Joseph P. Fulginiti of East Falmouth was found dead in Maine on Saturday, October 10. He was 64.

The Maine Warden Service, a division of the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife, recovered his body on the shores of Little Beaver Pond in Magalloway Plantation.

After observing Mr. Fulginiti’s boat stuck in the mud in a cove near his campsite, the campground owner reported the matter to the Maine Game Wardens. The owner also observed Mr. Fulginiti’s dog at the campsite.

“The dog appeared to have been in the camp alone several days, and with no sign of Fulginiti, the campground owner called the Maine Warden Service at approximately 10:44 [Saturday] morning,” said Mark Latti, director of communications for the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife.

The Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta, Maine, will investigate the cause of death.
