The Falmouth Police Department urged drivers to seek alternate routes after a single-car crash on Waquoit Highway on Saturday morning, April 17.

Police and the Falmouth Department of Public Works have set up detours near 328 Waquoit Highway while an Eversource crew works to replace a utility pole after a driver in a Subaru Forrester crashed into the pole at around 4:30 AM, according to a police department press release.

Eastbound traffic is being diverted using Parsons Lane; westbound drivers are to use Studley Street.

The road closure is expected to last all day. Residents who live in the immediate area of the work zone will be allowed access to their homes, police said.
